About Wesley AI
Our Story
Wesley AI began as a simple but important idea: churches needed a faith-centered, theologically grounded digital assistant—and nothing like that existed. While building a church website, our founder, Mat Napp, realized that every chatbot on the market lacked a Wesleyan theological foundation and often made ministry communication harder, not easier. Wesley AI was created to change that.
What started as a chatbot quickly revealed something bigger. Pastors and church teams weren’t just overwhelmed by visitor questions—they were overwhelmed by all forms of communication, from emails to graphic requests to event details. Wesley AI grew because ministry leaders needed clarity, simplicity, and time back.

Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to help churches communicate clearly so pastors and teams can focus on what matters most—people.
What Makes Us Different
Wesley AI is built specifically for churches and shaped by Wesleyan theology, but our distinctives go beyond belief alignment:
Theologically trustworthy – Every AI interaction honors Wesleyan/UMC doctrine.
Built for real ministry workflows – From visitor questions to internal communication, our tools reduce chaos instead of adding to it.
Clarity-first design – We build systems to help leaders stay clear‑headed, organized, and focused.
Created by someone who understands ministry – Wesley AI isn't a tech startup guessing what churches need; it was born out of real ministry pain points and real pastoral experience.
